Inna:
Body reprogramming, as recommended by the NHS UK, is like hitting the "reset" button on how your body reacts to stress, pain, and even habits. It’s about teaching your body new, healthier responses. You know how sometimes you have a certain reaction to things that doesn’t make sense, like getting anxious for no reason or feeling pain when there’s no injury? That’s because over time, your body has learned these patterns. Body reprogramming is about unlearning those patterns and giving your body better instructions. Think of it like updating the software in a computer, except the computer is your body!
Jackie:
That’s interesting! My uncle’s in constant pain, and he takes morphine for it. It helps a bit, but the pain is still always there. The idea of suggesting body reprogramming to him seems kind of out there. My aunt would probably think I’ve gone off the deep end with all this “alternative” stuff.
Inna:
Actually, you might be surprised! The NHS is currently recommending meditation as an alternative to painkillers. It’s creating quite a stir because many people don’t understand how meditation can help with pain. It seems almost counterintuitive to those who are used to conventional medicine. It’s like saying, “Instead of popping pills, let’s try sitting quietly and focusing on our breath.” And yet, it’s based on solid evidence.
Jackie:
Really? That’s quite a shift. I imagine it’s confusing for a lot of people. Most schools and nurseries are just starting to teach meditation.
Inna:
Exactly! And it’s a good thing, too. For instance, my client noticed a connection between her lower back pain and her thoughts about dating – specifically, unpleasant experiences with online dating and awkward conversations. Once she recognised this pattern, she learned to calm her body and reprogram her response. She explained to herself that it’s safe to explore these experiences without physical pain. It's a bit like telling your body, “Chill out, it’s not a threat!”
Jackie:
That’s fascinating! So, the idea is that our bodies react to certain thoughts as if they’re real threats?
Inna:
Exactly. It’s like our bodies are reacting to old programming that’s been stored from past experiences. For instance, another client realised her shoulder pain was linked to childhood grudges and replaying old arguments with her parents. Once she identified this, she started changing her thought patterns, focusing on positive thoughts instead of dwelling on the past. She not only experienced physical relief but also felt a newfound sense of freedom and happiness. She was able to refocus on her career and enjoy life more.
Jackie:
That’s incredible! It’s amazing how changing your mental patterns can have such a profound impact on your body and overall happiness.
Inna:
Absolutely. It’s not just about understanding with your mind; it’s about your body learning to react differently. So with your uncle, you could introduce him to small, manageable practices like breathing exercises or guided relaxation. It’s like showing him a new tool for managing his pain. Over time, as he starts to experience some relief, he might become more open to these techniques.
Jackie:
I’ll give it a go. I just need to feel confident in explaining it. But I like the idea of suggesting it as a small experiment – it’s less intimidating that way.
Inna:
Perfect! Think of it as a new adventure for him, not a complete overhaul of his routine. It might even turn into something he looks forward to. And who knows, maybe your aunt will join in and find herself doing yoga instead of just sitting with her pills!
I eagerly anticipate Inna's class because it leaves my body and mind feeling incredible after each yoga session. Her sequences are consistently gratifying, and it's as if she intuitively understands my needs. Her voice resonates with power and gentle care simultaneously. As I listen, I find myself relaxing, surrendering to her guidance.
The most gratifying aspect is that after just one month of practicing yoga with Inna, I observed a noticeable weight loss without feeling stressed. Also now I can enjoy peaceful nights without the panic attacks that used to trouble me. I sense that my life is finally under full control.
I’m bursting with newfound energy, a sensation I haven’t experienced in ages! Mornings are now a breeze — I wake up with ease, and my body feels primed for movement. No more stiffness, no more pain. And the most remarkable transformation: my shoulder pain has vanished completely! It’s like a miracle — I can rotate it freely after years of struggling. I'm really happy with that!
Regarding the back pain I've been complaining about for a year, I'm no longer experiencing any issues with it. In fact, my overall health situation has dramatically improved! I'm truly amazed. But there's another delightful change — I've noticed it in my clothes. That top I bought last summer, which I loved but was too small? Well, now it's too big! And it's not just me who's noticing — other people have commented on it too, and hearing those observations from others feels really nice.

Yoga is like a soft power on a body — great for those who have long established patterns of ‘bossy’ conditioned mind opposing to almost any new routines. And with yoga one can go as slowly and gently tricking the mind not to rebel. So here is the magic — with just little commitment, body, seemingly the same, slowly starts to open up showing the improved agility and resilience, stamina, softness and these are just a tip of an iceberg , because the real transformation happens from within.
In this meaningful journey, here is Inna with her incredibly soft and convincing voice, enormous patience and desire to implement new habits with her students.
She is eager to bring neuroscience and yoga to a common denominator for curious logical/scientific’ minds.
I cannot but mention the most enjoyable part of training with Inna - savasana. Never was I able to quiet my mind so easily and effectively as with Inna. Because she leads Savasana so skilfully, the post-training muscle tensions and aches one gets from intensive training is never the case with Inna, thanks to her ability to completely relax your muscles and make them ‘forget’ difficulties of the training, hence coaxing your mind into a new ally! Soft power in action!
